National Historic District for Souderton

The Design Committee can finally check off a project that they have wanted to do for the past five years. Work has finally begun on the National Historic District in Souderton.

Private funding has enable the committee to hire Keystone Perservation Group to begin the process of documenting and photographing the buildings in the proposed district.  They will also be making any necessary recommendations to any adjustment needed to the boundaries.

Once they have completed the documentation and the first draft of the nomination,   Keystone Preservation Group will hold a public meeting for property owners within the proposed historic district to understand the history of their community, get information about the National Register and Rehabilitation Investment Tax Credit (RITC) program, ask questions, and become acquainted with the listing process. Watch the local newspapers and this website for details.

SCORE Needs Indian Valley Volunteers

SCORE is an exceptional resource for both start-up and existing businesses. The Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce,  the Souderton-Telford Main Streets and the U.S. Small Business Administration are working with the Montgomery County chapter of SCORE to bring that critical resource to the Indian Valley.

The first step is to recruit volunteers to join the Montco Chapter. Read the open letter from Rich DeFalco, chapter president, to interested business executives, both retired and working, to see if you want to join this group and bring their remarkable assets to our community.

Established businesses are welcome to take advantage of the services provided by SCORE. Learn more in this flyer from Rich DeFalco, chapter president.
